    The Lamborghini Murciélago is a two-seater, two-door sports car that was produced from 2001 to 2010: 

    • Design
      The Murciélago was Lamborghini’s first new design in 11 years, and was inspired by the company’s iconic models, including the Countach, Miura, and Diablo. It features a sleek, angular design with scissor doors. 

    • Performance
      The Murciélago has a mid-mount V12 engine, permanent 4WD system, and a gearbox located in front of the engine. The 2001–2005 model had a power output of 573 hp, while the 2006–2010 model had a power output of 632 hp. The Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce model had a power output of 661 hp and could go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds. 

    • Name
      The name Murciélago is Spanish for “bat”. Legend has it that the name comes from a bull that survived the bullring and was given to Don Antonio Miura, the breeder of the famous Miura bulls.
