The Hero Xtreme 125R is a recent addition to the Hero Xtreme motorcycle lineup. Hero MotoCorp has released the all-new Hero Xtreme 125R as a part of its 2024 product line. It’s a power commuter that is specially designed with streetfighter ergonomics. It can enhance the urban commuting experience by delivering higher performance and excellent fuel efficiency. Upon the success of its larger Xtreme models, Hero has released this 125cc model to accommodate performance-oriented urban riders.
Hero Xtreme 125R is a brand-new street-naked machine in the Hero Xtreme series which is considered an upgrade from the conventional 125cc commuter motorcycles. The motorcycle features a powerful 125cc engine supported by an electronic fuel injection system. Moreover, the motorcycle features a capable wheel, brake, and suspension system that offers improved performance. Hence, these enhancements altogether can provide a smoother engine performance, notable fuel economy, and of course that is attractively designed to be an eye-catcher on the roads.
Hero Xtreme 125R – Physical Attributes:
The Hero Xtreme is a dedicated street-naked motorcycle series known for its aggressive urban styling and sporty exterior profile. Hero MotoCorp Ltd., the renowned motorcycle and scooter manufacturer based in India has introduced the all-new Hero Xtreme 125R as the latest addition to this series. Maintaining the sporty design elements of the series, this new machine came with a unique design and an extensive range of technical features. Thus, the motorcycle is visually appealing and damn sporty in appearance.
The design of the new Xtreme 125R adopted an all-new exterior that translates a true streetfighter indeed. As a result, even being a commuter, the motorcycle features naked-sport body profile and upright sporty riding ergonomics. However, the motorcycle highlights its body design, especially certain components such as the headlamp assembly, fuel tank, side panel, rear panel, and exhaust setup. Side-by-side the design emoluments are also found on the ODO console, seating arrangement, and even at the tail.
At first glance, the new Xtreme 125R catches attention with its multi-pit LED headlamp assembly featuring integrated LED DRLs. Above the headlamp, a digital ODO cluster is mounted naked without a fairing. It’s is a new unit that features an attractive negative display and Bluetooth connectivity for mobile phones. The pipe handlebar that comes with necessary control switch arrangements, that enhance the motorcycle’s overall control and functionality.
The fuel tank retains a unique shape that has received multiple sharp curves and is crafted with multi-sculps. The tank also has sharp shroud extensions on both sides that also nicely matted with sporty side panels. The seat comes with a split design that is sporty in appearance, with the rider and pillion seats positioned at different heights. Integrated grab rails have been added beside the rear seat, while the tail section remains fully naked after the integrated tail lamp.
Additionally, the motorcycle features a rear tire hugger, a sporty exhaust muffler, and bikini chain cover. The compact sporty exhaust barrel appears to be a sportier part that boasts its aggressiveness. Overall, the design of the motorcycle gorgeously showcases its compactness and muscularity and reflects its aggressive nature. Further, the new color and graphics scheme beautifully makes the new Hero Xtreme 125R stand out with a distinct and aggressive identity in any crowd.
Hero Xtreme 125R – Frame, Wheel, Brake, & Suspension System:
The new Hero Xtreme 125R is equipped with a Tubular Diamond frame, which is consistent across the entire current lineup of Hero Xtreme motorcycles. Sequentially, the motorcycle maintains a very decent configuration in terms of the wheel, brake, and suspension system. In the wheels, it fitted with sporty alloy rims and 90/90-17 tire at the front and a 120/80-17 tire at the rear.
In the braking system, the new Xtreme 125R features hydraulic disc brakes on the front wheel and the rear wheel features a conventional drum-type brake. Furthermore, the front braking system is augmented by a single-channel ABS for enhanced braking safety.
The suspension system of the motorcycle comprises a 37mm upright telescopic fork suspension at the front. At the rear, it incorporates an adjustable mono-shock absorber connected to the swingarm hinge. These competent features ensure a reliable performance in terms of the chassis, wheels, brakes, and suspension of the new motorcycle.
Hero Xtreme 125R – Engine Performance & Features:
The Hero Xtreme 125R is a modern, feature-packed street-naked commuter motorcycle that equipped with an updated 124.7cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled engine. This engine features 2-valve system and enhanced with an electronic fuel injection system instead of old carburetor fuel feeding system. The engine is fitted with a manual multi-plate wet clutch system and a 5-speed gear transmission with the pattern 1-N-2-3-4-5. The motorcycle starts using both kickstarter and electric start systems.
In terms of power and performance, the new Hero Xtreme 125R engine has been optimized to deliver enhanced power, torque, and improved fuel efficiency. The engine is capable of producing a maximum power of 11.4BHP at 8,250RPM and a torque of 10.5Nm at 6,500RPM. With these enhancements, the motorcycle can reach 0-60km within 5.9 seconds and can reach a top speed of approximately 105kmph while providing a decent range of fuel economy.
