      A mid-size SUV that responds to the driver’s sense of adventure and exploration with a sophisticated and powerful exterior design and an interior that combines quality with comfort.
      In Japan, demand for four-wheel drive vehicles was growing as private owners sought them for leisure use. So we developed our own 4WD technology. The result was the 4WD Pajero (known as the Montero or Shogun in some markets).

      The Mitsubishi Pajero iO is a powerful mini SUV manufactured by Japanese vehicle manufacturer company Mitsubishi in 1999 as well as in 2007. The Pajero iO is derived from the Italian language that means “me”.

      The 1094 cc engine block is the same as used in the Mitsubishi Colt, developing 80 PS (59 kW) at 6,500 rpm and giving the vehicle a top speed of 135 km/h (84 mph). The steering is a traditional rack and pinion setup, with power assistance. The front suspension is double wishbone, and the rear is helical spring.

      Mitsubishi RVR was developed based on Mitsubishi Chariot and can be called its short wheelbase version, however, unlike Chariot focusing on family customers, RVR targeted on sporty young people.

      This concept of RVR remains unchanged at present. The basic layout with 2 doors + sliding rear door on the left has not changed, so as the Sports Gear function set on this model ever since the first generation.
